I’m picky about the comics I like. I don’t really read all that many webcomics. These are comics that are really great, and deserve attention.
JonMacy.com –The fabulous and brilliant author of the Prism grant-winning adaptation of Teleny and Camille, not to mention Fearful Hunter and all sorts of other pervy great comics.
AgentAgnes.com Agnes draws some of the cutest boys that there are in comics. That’s in addition to honestly being one of the best illustrators that I’ve found doing comics today.
The Abominable Charles Christopher – Seriously, out of all the webcomics I’ve read, this one is at the very top. The writing is brilliant, it uses the form of serialized strips to tell longer stories in a great way, and it’s so, so pretty.
Chester 5,000 XYV – Erotic story involving robots. I love the way the sex is portrayed, because I think that sex should be portrayed like any other part of a story, just as interesting and worthy of discussion, and this does that right. Jess Fink is a great artist.
Mari Naomi – Mari Naomi, super genius. Autobiographical comics and all sorts of awesomeness.
Aron Nels Steinke – Aron is good. Really, really fucking good. He has a pitch-perfect sense of pacing and what to include in a panel that makes me read his comics again and again.
Bodyworld – I have mixed feelings about Dash Shaw, but he takes comics really, really seriously. Which is how they should be taken.
Artifice – Really cute boy and a robot who looks like a really cute boy, and they do sexy things together. Which is how it should be.
Bug – For some reason this makes me laugh more than a lot of other humor webcomics.
