A Waste of Time

Alright, here we go.  This is page one of a storyline that’s currently scripted at around 25, and while is important to the overall scheme of things.  The content of this story says a lot of things for me, and it’s really kinda a key element of these characters and my thinking about all these comics that I’ve been doing for a few years now.  There are sketches of scenes similar to stuff in this story in my sketchbook from years ago, I wrote the script for it as it exists now probably over a year ago, and started penciling it and designing stuff for it at least that long ago.  There are things from this story that have shown up in other comics that I’ve put up here, and probably nobody would have noticed but me, but I always go on saying that my characters have these elaborate backstories and all that, so I’m excited to start posting this because people will finally be able to see a bit of what I’m talking about.  The reason I have a robot character, and where he came from, is central to who he is, how he relates to the rabbit, and all that stuff.

I posted a version of the first page of this story a while back, and now here it is with the title added on and a lot of little details added or changed, and this time I’m on a deadline for a book we’re trying to publish by October, so the hope is to have the complete story up on here by the end of June.  I’m planning to post at least five pages a week, and I have page two ready to go and partial pencils and inks past that.
